Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Looker Studio Developer with 5–8 years of experience in business intelligence, data visualization, and dashboard development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio), SQL, and Google BigQuery, with the ability to transform complex datasets into interactive dashboards and actionable business insights.
The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to design, develop, and optimize scalable reporting solutions that support data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI visualizations using Looker Studio.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including Google BigQuery, SQL databases, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Ads, Salesforce, HubSpot, and third-party APIs.
- Develop advanced calculated fields, custom parameters, filters, and blended data sources.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, particularly GoogleSQL for BigQuery.
- Work with data models, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Optimize dashboard performance, data refresh processes, and query execution times.
- Configure scheduled report delivery, data access permissions, and sharing controls.
- Utilize native Google connectors and third-party connectors such as Supermetrics, Funnel, and Catchr.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Present analytical findings and business insights to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Maintain documentation and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in BI development, data visualization, and reporting.
- Strong hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Looker Studio.
- Advanced SQL skills, including query development, optimization, and debugging.
- Experience with Google BigQuery and Google Cloud data services.
- Proficiency in data blending, calculated fields, parameters, filters, and dashboard customization.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources using native and third-party connectors.
- Understanding of data warehousing, star and snowflake schemas, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Knowledge of data governance, access controls, and reporting automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Looker and LookML, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Google Data Analytics certifications.
- Basic proficiency in Python or R for data processing and analysis.
- Experience working with marketing analytics, CRM data, and enterprise reporting solutions.
